Dave Elitch is best known for having played with The Mars Volta on the Octahedron tour. He's also played with Juliette Lewis, Crash Kings, M83, and many others. Dave also does clinics around the world and teaches privately out of his studio in Los Angeles. Dave met Dave at a curry restaurant in LA and they spoke over lunch. Elitch talks about his time with TMV, working with Justin Timberlake, the realities of being a working Drummer in LA, youtube cover videos, traveling, studying with Toss Panos, when to use different kits for different gigs, technique, shredding vs groove, and a whole lot of other gems coming from a guy who is also a teacher to many older established cats on the scene.
